On February 9, 2026, Dr. Saade will join the Arizona Medical Association as part of the Doc of the Day program at the Arizona State Capitol. Through this program, Dr. Saade will meet with legislators and policymakers to provide real-time clinical insight, answer health policy questions, and serve as a trusted medical resource—helping ensure that health care decisions during the legislative session are informed by physician expertise and patient-centered care.

The Arizona Radiological Society Advocacy Day at the State Capitol is an opportunity for radiologists and radiology trainees to engage directly with Arizona lawmakers and legislative staff, share real-world clinical perspectives, and learn how state policy impacts imaging access, reimbursement, and patient care. Participants will receive a tailored legislative and advocacy briefing, meet with elected officials, and connect with colleagues from across the state—strengthening radiology’s voice at the Capitol and building early advocacy and leadership skills.

On May 6, radiologists from Arizona will participate in the American College of Radiology ACR Hill Day in Washington, DC, joining colleagues from across the country to advocate on key federal issues impacting radiology and patient care. This national advocacy event provides an opportunity to meet directly with members of Congress and their staff, elevate radiology’s priorities at the federal level, and ensure that imaging policy decisions are informed by the expertise of practicing physicians.

The Arizona Radiological Society (ARS) Virtual Board Meeting will take place August 2026, with the date and time to be determined. This meeting will focus on society governance, committee updates, and planning priorities for the year ahead, including advocacy efforts and upcoming educational programming. Additional details and a formal meeting notice will be shared with board members once finalized.

This year's theme — The Radiologist's Voice: Advocacy, AI, and the Future of Practice — brings together the issues shaping our specialty right now: how radiologists show up in healthcare policy conversations, how artificial intelligence is changing the reading room, and what both mean for the next generation entering the field.
