Political Action
A PAC (Political Action Committee) is an organization that pools campaign contributions from members and donates those funds to support or oppose political candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation. PACs are typically formed to represent specific interests, such as business groups or labor unions, and can raise and spend money to influence elections. There are different types of PACs, including traditional PACs, which have limited contribution limits, and Super PACs, which can raise unlimited funds but cannot directly support a candidate's campaign.
RAD PAC
Fedreal Level
RADPAC is the bipartisan political action committee of the ACRA, dedicated to supporting the campaigns of pro-radiology candidates at the federal level. Through voluntary contributions from ACRA members, RADPAC helps ensure that radiology has a strong and respected voice in national health policy discussions.
As Congress continues to address issues such as mammography reimbursement, Medicare reform, patient safety, and medical liability, a unified advocacy presence is essential. RADPAC strengthens radiology’s influence on Capitol Hill by supporting Members of Congress—and candidates for Congress—who understand and champion the priorities of the radiology community.
Recognized as one of the most successful physician PACs, RADPAC ranked fourth out of thirty in hard money raised in 2018. This level of impact is only possible through the continued support of individual radiologists and group practices. For more information or to contribute, please visit the RADPAC website.

The Arizona Radiological Society Political Action Committee (ARS PAC) is the advocacy arm of the Society, dedicated to protecting the future of radiology and ensuring that imaging professionals have a strong, unified voice at the Arizona State Capitol. By supporting candidates who understand the value of high-quality imaging and physician-led care, the ARS PAC helps shape policies that directly impact patient safety, access to imaging, and the daily practice of radiologists across the state.
Through voluntary member contributions, the ARS PAC builds relationships with lawmakers, participates in key legislative discussions, and advocates on issues such as scope of practice, prior authorization, reimbursement, and radiation safety. All PAC funds stay in Arizona and are used to support bipartisan efforts that prioritize quality care and strengthen the role of radiologists in our healthcare system.
